Authors who publish with Journal of Indigenous Islam (JINDIS) agree to the following terms:

Copyright Ownership: Authors retain full copyright ownership of their work.
First Publication Rights: Authors grant JINDIS the right of first publication of their submitted work.
Creative Commons License: All published works are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0). This license permits others to:

  • Share and redistribute the material in any medium or format.

  • Adapt, remix, transform, and build upon the material.

  • Users must provide appropriate credit to the original author(s), include a link to the license, and indicate if any changes were made.

  • The material may not be used for commercial purposes.

  • Any derivative works must be distributed under the same license as the original (ShareAlike).

Additional Distribution: Authors are allowed to enter into separate, non-exclusive agreements for the distribution of the published version of the work (e.g., institutional repositories, academic social networks, or book publications), provided that JINDIS is clearly acknowledged as the site of original publication.

Online Posting Encouraged: Authors are encouraged to post their work online (e.g., on institutional repositories, personal websites, or preprint servers) before and during the submission process. Such practices can enhance visibility, encourage scholarly collaboration, and increase citation of the published work.
