Open Access Statement

All articles published in the Journal of Indigenous Islam (JINDIS) are available in full open access format. This publishing model aims to ensure that research results are freely accessible for anyone to read, download, share, and reference without barriers. All publications in JINDIS are subject to the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives (CC-BY-NC-ND) license, which permits use and distribution in any form as long as they are properly cited, used for non-commercial purposes, and not altered or modified.

Referring to the key principles of open access as formulated in the Budapest, Berlin, and Bethesda Declarations, JINDIS adopts the following definition of open access:

  • Authors and copyright holders grant the public the right to access, copy, download, and responsibly use the article as set out in the copyright notice, without restriction of subscription or access fees.
  • The full version of the article and any supporting materials will be permanently deposited in a standardized electronic format in an online repository maintained by an academic institution or a trusted institution that supports the principles of openness, interoperability, wide distribution, and long-term archiving-such as LOCKSS, CLOCKSS, or similar institutions.

Through this policy, the Journal of Indigenous Islam (JINDIS) is committed to expanding the reach of knowledge and supporting the equitable and inclusive dissemination of scientific research at the global level.
